Chad brings has a strong background in leadership, teaching, and coaching. He works with the Upper School faculty to develop the Knight Family Scholars Program curriculum, and he is currently initiating outreach efforts to attract students for the second year of the program for 2013-14. He also teaches in the history department.

Previously Chad was an admissions and financial aid officer at Harvard College, where he had admissions, recruitment, financial aid, and academic responsibilities including serving as a freshman academic adviser.

​

Before working at Harvard he was an academic adviser and cross-country and track coach at the University of Notre Dame, a history teacher and coach at Taft School, a survival instructor for the U.S. Navy, and a Naval flight officer. He holds an MA in education and history from Brown University and a BS in business administration from Georgetown University, and was a distinguished graduate of the U.S. Navy Flight School. He received the Air Medal for achievements in the former Republic of Yugoslavia, and was recognized for distinguished service in three combat deployments to the Balkans and Iraq.
